Core Gameplay

Geometry Dash is a rhythm-based platformer in which players guide their geometric icon through quick-paced levels inhabited with spikes, portals, and anything that shifts your perspective, all with the beats of some sweet music.

  • Auto-Scrolling Movement. Your icon automatically moves forward, and you must time your jumps and actions to avoid hazards.

  • Sound Sync. Each jump, flip, or dodge that you perform aligns with a soundtrack, meaning rhythm and timing are a significant factor.

  • Game Modes. You have several forms, such as cube, ship, ball, wave, and more, all of which have different features and unique methods of controlling their movement.

  • Instant Restarts. If you make a mistake while playing, you start back at the beginningof the level, unless you are in Practice Mode, in which you can add checkpoints.

  • Portals and Triggers. These can change your perspective (gravity) or speed, or change your icon's form.

  • User Levels. In addition to all the official levels, players create and share custom levels with absurd designs and music.

Tip to Use When Playing Geometry Dash

  • Memorize the positioning of obstacles

  • Sync with the rhythm of the music

  • Don't panic when things get fast

  • Use Practice Mode for tricky bits

  • Tap with exact precision; timing is everything
