Introduction

Stickman Hook is a physics-centric skill game developed by Madbox. Released first as a game in 2018, Stickman Hook requires the player to control a stickman character who swings through over 100 increasingly difficult levels using a grappling hook.

To complete each level, you must be good at timing, hook placement, and utilizing momentum. You must ensure you swing the stickman until he gathers enough momentum to bounce, avoid obstacles, and land safely at the finish line.

The game's mechanics are simple, engaging, and work smoothly with a minimalist design, making Stickman Hook applicable across a variety of platforms.  It is also possible to play against others online (multiplayer) which adds a more competitive twist to the swinging act.

Buttons/ Controls

Mouse click / Tap (Mobile): Attach the grappling hook to the nearest anchor point

Hold click / Tap: Swing forward using momentum

Release click / Tap: Release the rope for a launch towards the next hook or platform

On PC, you can also use the spacebar instead of a mouse click to hook and release. These one-touch controls are built to be quick and fluid. The challenge is not in learning the buttons, but learning the rhythm of swinging, releasing and landing correctly.

Tips to Play Stickman Hook Well

Do Not Just Tap Indiscriminately. Hook when you are in proximity to a grapple. Tapping too fast will slow you down and prevent you from maintaining speed.

Timestamp. The main key to success is to drop the hook at the right time, for maximum speed, and to avoid obstacles.

Use Bumpers and Acrobatic Maneuvers. During some levels, there are bumpers that your stickman can bounce off of and maneuver to get through difficult spots.

Maintain Momentum. Stickman Hook is about maintaining consistent momentum. If you pause it'll lead to a poor swing or a poor landing.
