Vex 3

Introduction

Vex 3 is a frantic, side-scrolling 2D platformer made by Amazing Adam. Players control a stickman figure and help him navigate through deadly traps such as spikes, saw blades, moving platforms, and more.

The game is divided into 19 levels called Acts. The first 10 acts are regular and have moderate difficulty, while the additional 9, also called Challenge Acts, are grueling. 

The aim in each act is to get into the green portal located at the end and earn rewards, usually in the form of trophies. However, this calls for precision, persistence, and swiftness since the obstacles are unpredictable and unforgiving.

In case you fail, the game has a feature called Checkpoints Flags (red). These flags mark the last respawn point, meaning that, in case you run out of life, you will respawn at the last checkpoint flag instead of at the beginning/starting point.

Control Buttons – PC & Mobile

• Arrow Keys or WASD Keys: Move and jump. You can also cling to a wall to activate wall-jumping and jump over tall, vertical walls easily.

• Down Arrow or S key: Slide under obstacles, break glass blocks, or enter levels.

• Jump: Up Arrow or W key.

• Interact: Stand on a level block and press the Down Arrow or S key to begin acting.

Interacting with Blocks & Its Effects

To interact with blocks, press the Down Arrow/ S Key to start the interaction. While this is normal, some interactions have special effects. 

For example, you can jump on Orange blocks to bounce higher and Speed blocks will increase your speed. Purple blocks will collapse and you should spend the least time on them lest you collapse with them.

Tips to Succeed in Vex 3

• Always touch a red flag checkpoint to save your gameplay.

• Learn wall jumps and use them well.

• Use speed blocks to clear giant gaps or to escape from dangers.
